Partisan presents Alt + Shift – a genre-fluid night that spans hip-hop, funk, disco, dub, afrobeat, electro and more. Alt + Shift has been created to give guest DJs a chance to break free of playing genre specific sets that club night sets often demand, and instead play an Alt:Session – music they don’t normally play out in a nightclub but do dance to in their own homes. In the way that the ‘Back to Mine’ mix series allowed DJs to curate a personal selection of their favourite tunes, our night will allow them to showcase their passion for music without being confined to the one genre that typically constitutes a nightclub set. For our first Alt+Shift we will be joined by Manchester’s own DJ Giles B of Dub Conductor along with KatBrownSugar, The Box Brothers and emcee Boodacon
