Assorted Sounds Workshop is a creative music production course suitable for beginners and intermediate producers.
“Music is one of the most pure examples of higher power. You can’t touch music. It’s a feeling. Music is the soul stripped away from the body, in audio format. When you record music, you transcend your body. It is an example of manifesting – bringing something into existence using what’s in your head.” Russ
Beneath it all are some really simple ideas that anyone can put into practice. This workshop covers those ideas.
Over four weeks, we’ll take in…
– Music Theory: the framework for your ideas
– Sound Design: create your palette and add texture to it
– Mixing Techniques: bringing everything together
– Creative Practice: ideas and philosophies to keep making music
After the workshop…
– Assorted Sounds Workshop Group: dedicated Slack channel to ask, learn and share all things music
All you need is…
– Laptop
– Headphones
– You! (this course will be in-person)
Just a heads up…we’ll be working with Ableton Live. A free 90 day trial is available at ableton.com if needed. However, everything covered in the workshop can be applied in any DAW of your choice.
You can buy your spot for the course through this page, the payment will cover all four classes. You won’t be able to purchase a spot for an individual class, so make sure you’re free for all four dates!
This course is substantially cheaper than any alternatives, this is possible thanks to the support of our members.
