Assorted Sounds Workshop – Crash Course in Ableton

When: Wednesday 24th May and Wednesday 31st May 6:30pm – 8:30pm

Where: Partisan Collective, Islington Mill, 1 James Street, M3 5HW

Assorted Sounds Workshop are creative courses in music production.

“Music is one of the most pure examples of higher power. You can’t touch music. It’s a feeling. Music is the soul stripped away from the body, in audio format. When you record music you transcend your body. It is an example of manifesting – bringing something into existence using what’s in your head.” Russ

Underneath it all are some really simple ideas that anyone can put into practice. These workshops cover those ideas.

Crash Course in Ableton covers –

• Overview of live
• All things audio and midi
• Recording techniques
• Instruments and effects
• Mixing techniques
• Customising live
• Ableton extras

After the workshop, get involved with ASW club

• Meet ups to test your music on the Partisan sound stsyem
• Dedicated slack channel Slack channel to ask, learn and share all things music
• Share your musical creation on the dedicated workshop imprint

All you need is a laptop, headphone and you!
