Beginner’s DIY RISO Course no.16

Team Trident Press’s monthly(ish) RISO Beginner’s Course – learn the basics about risography and how to use it right. We’ll be using the RISO at Partisan to explore the machine and understand how to make use of this unique printing method for DIY projects like zines, flyers and posters. Each participant will be able to create their own two colour A3 print or A6 size zine (8 pages).

Participants are welcome to bring along their own creative material such as pens and collage bits, but we’ll provide plenty for everyone anyway. In the end of the workshop you’ll be able to take away up to 15 copies of your design and a little RISO guide booklet to refresh your memory next time you’re using our DIY RISO at Partisan. Snacks provided, cold and hot bevvies will be available to purchase at reasonable prices from the Partisan cafe.

Workshop ticket price: £8 for those who self-identify as BAME/POC/LGBTGI+, £15 low-income/student, £26 waged, £40 extra support. Free to Partisan members/asylum seekers/job-seekers. Donations welcome.

Accessibility: Regrettably, the workshop space is currently not accessible to wheelchair-users. All profits of the workshop will go towards the Partisan Access Fund – a pot especially reserved to realise our plans of building a ramp and s lift to make Partisan Collective accessible to all.
