DIY Game Development Skillshare
26th October 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Hey!You know video games right? like on a computer? what if you could just make them and call them art? What if you could use them to fulfil your wildest cyberfeminist dreams? Well you can, and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop you, so come and do that.
This is going to be a workshop mostly focused on twine (https://twinery.org/) and bitsy (http://ledoux.io/bitsy/editor.html), two free and easy to use tools to make simple games, that are also powerful enough to go a bit more if you want that.

People who know a fair amount about games but have never really thought about making them are encouraged! People whose gaming experience never really extended beyond Zoombinis are encouraged! If you have a laptop bring it with you, but it isn’t necessary as we’re going to be focusing as much on the design and exploring the narrative potential of games, and collaboration is the key to success.I’m not an artist or a game developer, I planned this because I thought it would be nice, so come along, let’s have a go
