Global Justice Now Banner Making

Global Justice Now Youth Network in Manchester are holding a drop in banner making workshop in the lead up to the Carnival of Resistance, when the UK will come together to protest the American President’s visit to Britain. As well as this, we are organising a return coach for anyone wishing to attend the Carnival of Resistance in London (https://www.facebook.com/events/462962877476768/ )
Where – Partisan basement
When – Wednesday 4th July from 6-9pm
What to expect:
– we will be collectively making a large banner, which will be themed on Donald Trump’s promise to force feed us chlorine chicken through his secretive, proposed trade deal with the UK. We plan to dress up as chickens and hold a chicken welfare protest demanding that their rights be protected
– make your own banners and placards
– materials will be provided: fabric, paints, cardboard, sewing thread, needles, scissors – but please feel free to bring your own!
– refreshments will be provided – cake and biscuits!
This is a fun event, and we welcome everyone! Come along to make, create, chat politics and eat cake! We look forward to seeing you there!
