New Volunteers Day

27th January 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Are you interested in getting involved in something new this year? Are you looking to do something worthwhile? Would you like to make new friends and have a nice time? Partisan could be the place for you! Partisan is Manchester’s collective, volunteer run arts and social centre. We work to support activists, charities, and other social justice groups by providing cheap and free meeting space funded by running cultural events such as gigs, parties, talks, film screenings and workshops. Come along to this relaxed introductory afternoon for a chance to learn more about what we are, meet some of our members, and to find out how you can get involved.

The session will start at 2pm with a talk introducing Partisan and a tour of the space. After this they’ll be opportunities to meet volunteers from our different teams (access and accountability, the bar team, community outreach, events, design, fundraising, media and print), followed by a more casual time to ask further questions and talk more with our members. Throughout the afternoon they’ll also be a crafting session running which you can drop in and out of at any time along with a selection of snacks and hot and cold soft drinks.

Everyone’s welcome and there’s no need to let us know in advance if you’d like to come. If there’s anything else you’d like to know just drop us an email at info@partisancollective.net
