Partisan Film Drawing Club is our monthly evening for doodlers, sketchers, painters, creators, scribblers and anyone else who wants to come together in a supportive environment to fill their sketchbooks. Each month we draw from a motion picture, choosing striking frames and making a range of drawings – from quick sketches to longer studies.
There’s no teacher but you’ll have a chance to share your work with other attendees for peer feedback (only if you want to!)
The meets take place on Zoom and in the Partisan space. You will need a sketchbook or paper and something to make marks with: pencils, pens, crayons, paints, pastels, markers and/or charcoal are all great options! We will be providing some supplies but please bring your own if you can.
Partisan Film Drawing Club operates on a suggested donation basis and no-one is turned away for lack of funds. However you will need to book an advance ticket, so we know how many people to expect on Zoom and in the building. When ordering a ticket please ensure you select “Online” if you wish to attend on Zoom, or “Physical” if you will be coming to the space.
In April’s club, we’ll be looking at a film which features close-up and wide shots of people, movement, and indoor and outdoor locations.
Access Information: The club will go for two hours with a 15-minute comfort break halfway through, though people are welcome to take additional breaks or leave early. People joining on Zoom do not have to have webcams on but can if they like. They will need access to audio. The session will not be recorded. The film will be announced on the night but we can share that it is in Japanese with a English subtitles and is rated U. If you have any additional access requirements then please let us know.
