We are so so excited to bring this party to our members, with four of our very favourite DJs 😈

They all believe in our mission to create a hub of independent arts, music and social justice, that we all run together ✊ Their support helps us on our journey to making our venue wheelchair accessible and fully licensed, so that it can give secure and sustainable funding to our community space and all the amazing local groups who benefit from using it for free 🌺

Partisan isn’t a service. There are no profits πŸ’Έ. There are no bosses 🀡. There are no customers πŸ‘‘. Partisan is a collective: it’s just our members, working together as equals to run the space 🌞 The party is for all of us. And we believe that makes the shared feeling on our dancefloor extra special πŸ’–

That is what it means to be a member of Partisan, and so we wanted to run this highly anticipated party for our members 🏠

If you’re not a member yet, but you like the sound of what we’re doing, then we’d love to have you involved πŸ™‹ Join!

Only members can buy tickets. But members will be able to get up to one non-members’ ticket for a guest who must be with them on entry. πŸ‘

Ben UFO [3hr set – Hessle Audio]
Ben has been supporting us as a Partisan member for nearly 3 years (!!!) – since before we even had our building. He is consistently principled and outspoken about the issues that matter in the dance music scene, as well as being a generally wonderful person. He’s also a pretty good DJ.

LUCE_ [Equaliser]
Leeds’s LUCE_ is one of the forces behind Equaliser, which is a free DJ workshop for women, non-binary people, and trans people, and an affiliated party that platforms non-cis men. Earlier this year, LUCE_ was one of the representatives of Equaliser in their takeover of the Hessle Audio show on Rinse FM, with a masterclass in developing tension across dark, slower rhythms. And after speaking at an All Hands On Deck panel talk at Partisan earlier this year as well, it was fate that she return alongside Ben for this very special members’ party.

TamTam [Brotherhood / Equaliser]
Despite being another Leeds-based Equaliser representative, TamTam has become one of our favourite DJs behind the Partisan decks. From sets at All Hands On Deck, to setting off one of our All Day Parties, we’ve been wowed by her technical ability to blend wobbly & energetic UK rhythms while absolutely raising the roof with her selections. With her proven track record at Leeds’s ever-popular Brotherhood nights, TamTam is a real party DJ.

Abena [All Hands On Deck / Partisan]
Abena is not only an organiser of All Hands On Deck, the free DJ workshops for womxn & non-binary people with its home at Partisan, but also one of the most dedicated volunteers at Partisan, and an incredible DJ. When she’s not giving her spare hour to help keep our building clean or organising our Pride events, she can be found playing hard, bassy, twisted music to very excited dancefloors. She’s a joy to watch behind the decks, and an absolute legend to work alongside.
