Quiet Night Out provides a sensory friendly music experience for people who struggle with sensory processing difficulties while starting an open dialogue on the sensory processing difficulties currently present in the live music industry
Locally, Manchester is renowned for being a city of great musical culture and history, so we believe it should have the capability to cater to the needs of disabled people who might struggle with the typical live music experience.
The event will showcase the work of 3 artists using acoustic, unplugged sets with regular breaks between artists. There will also be a breakout space for audience members who wish to take a break from the main event.
Soft drinks and refreshments will also be available throughout the evening. This is a SOBER event
The current schedule for the event is as follows:
Scope’s youth community event seeks to bring together disabled and non-disabled residents in Greater Manchester aged 18-25 to discuss the barriers that disabled people face in Greater Manchester. Through creative exploration of these barriers, the day of discussion and activities will influence the themes of the monthly get togethers, a group that will carry out social activism to improve accessibility and opportunities for disabled people in Greater Manchester
