Queer Book Club

3rd October 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Queer Book Club is a space for LGBT+ people and anybody else to discuss books by LGBT writers.

At our next meeting we’ll be discussing ‘Man Alive’ by Thomas Page McBee. What does it mean to be a man? This is the question Thomas Page McBee sets out to answer at the brink of his transition from female to male in this memoir. He tries to answer the question through considering the two men who have had the biggest impact on his life. The first is his seemingly ordinary Father who abused him as a child. The second is a mugger who almost killed him.

The book club will take place in the Partisan Meeting Room on the 1st floor. Any issues finding the place, message on here or ring, 07506340077. Everyone welcome. Hoping to see you there! 🙂
