WE’RE SO EXCITED THAT SAD BOOTCAMP IS BACK!
How is it the changing of the seasons again already?! We’re not sure, but there’s a nip in the air, so we best start bedding in for winter!
Providing you with a new set of survival skills and power moves for winter 2021, we are happy to announce the return of SAD BOOTCAMP with Fiona Ledgard @fiona_ledgard_personal_trainer! A fun and reflective 90 minute fitness and wellbeing session, delivered in person for the first time by Fiona Ledgard, a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer passionate about making fitness and wellbeing both fun and accessible to all.
Hosted IN PERSON for the firs time! We will meet the week after the clocks change, the class is inspired by the difficulty of Seasonal Affective Disorder, shorter day and longer nights as well as general winter blues.
Catered towards those who struggle during the colder months, but open to absolutely everybody, SAD BOOTCAMP is designed to bolster your mind body and spirit, giving you skills and moves to make you feel powerful!
Fiona will start the session with a 45 minute wellbeing session featuring creative and reflective exercises and goal setting as well as group discussion, followed by a beginner friendly dance work out session to get those endorphins pumping and end on a high!
Fiona delivers all kinds of fitness classes for students and staff at Manchester Met, and has also recently delivered virtual sessions for ITV, The LGBT Foundation, The George House Trust and The Proud Trust. She loves lifting people’s spirits and empowering them to exercise with confidence, working from a body positive perspective.
Fiona has completed mental health first aid training and works with students 1 on 1 as part of the exercise referral scheme with the counselling service at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The session includes:
