Tax Jam 2018/2019 – Self Assessment Send-off Sesh

Ready or not, the return filing date for the 2018/2019 tax year is coming up on January 31st. Having to file your Self Assessment tax return, but having trouble finding the motivation? Head along to our Tax Jam and get your books in order. We’ll provide caffeinated drinks, vegan pizza, motivating music, and people on hand to help you through the logic of what you’re doing, helping you through the websites and getting your work handed in.

Please bring along your laptop or smartphone, your 10-digit Unique Tax Reference number (UTR) and National Insurance number, your Government Gateway ID and login, your records of your taxed/untaxed income, and charity/pension contributions. You might also need payment details if you want to pay your bill after filing. If you are working with paper returns, you’ll need the paper return sent to you by the tax office (and, with the paper filing deadline being 31st October, prepare for a fine – ouch). If you need to do the work getting your records into place first, take what paper records you have and we’ll do our best to help you assemble your emails.
