Line Up

All Hands On Deck Residents [Partisan]
The biggest legends in the whole DJ game, the All Hands On Deck crew have managed to carve out a day from their busy international schedule to deliver some boopy bangers for us all to get wild to. When they’re not organising their open-deck party for womxn & non-binary people, the AHOD residents are holding it down on dancefloors across the city, putting in shifts as tropical island sirens in the Bermuda Triangle, robbing banks, and even find time to help run Partisan. Expect anything from banging ghetto house, to sultry rnb, to tonking techno, to boopy uk bass, to romping riddims. Party time!

Kiss Me Again
KMA is perhaps the most joyous night in the city. For a resident-centred party to so regularly sell-out, you know that Kiss Me Again has earned a very special place in the heart of the city. From disco to UK bass, the music policy is just amazing dancefloor music. And the calibre of friends that they’ve brought in – from Midland, to Call Super & Ben UFO, to Homoelectric legends Kath McDermott & Philippa Jarman – it’s abundantly clear that they’ve got something wonderful.

Sofie K [NTS Radio]
The phenomenal Sofie K is as inspired with cosmic daytime selections as she is with tightly mixed late night bangers. After giving the Partisan dancefloor what was most likely one of the best NYE midnight DJ sets in the country, and then being one of three selectors across the whole day of our sold out disco special all dayer, we knew we simply had to get her back for the birthday celebration. Catch her weird and groovy blends of electro, disco and house on her NTS radio show here.

Contours [Rhythm Section]
Manchester’s finest soulful selector, Tom’s ear for picking out the finest musical delicacies is pretty much second to none, bolstered by a hefty knowledge of spiritual jazz, broken-beat, and music from all corners of Africa. Early releases on Rhythm Section and Fly High Society reflect his keen musicianship, which is most recently borne out by his involvement in the brilliant Kawuku Sound project, made with Ugandan musicians in Kampala, which topped Juno release charts. The energy for his last All Day Party set was so incredible, he’s earned his place as a firm Partisan favourite.

Poppy [Withington Northern Soul / Deptford Northern Soul Club]
One of the youngest, most hip-shaking historians of classic Northern Soul about, Poppy is an experienced selector behind the Partisan decks from a myriad of events dating back to Mancuso-homage Wax The Van, to Friendzone, to upcoming sets at classic disco audiophile party Horticulture. Get your dancing shoes on.

LIVE MUSIC upstairs from 7pm!

Straight Girl
Leeds based sad-dance music connoisseur. “Ugly grave rave succubus, but make it gay”. An incredible live performer, do not miss!

Wilderness Hymnal
Wonderfully atmospheric solo artist. Latest release Anthropocene was described by Louder Than War as “This is some record, epic in scale and ambition, and relentless in its pursuit of what it sees as the truth”

Hannah Ross
Hannah Ross is Manchester-based who makes profoundly affecting music with her voice and guitar. Her EP ‘what are the natural forms?’ is a record about hearts and bones.

Lindsay Munroe
Lindsay Munroe is a Manchester based Alt-folk musician, blending delicate introspection with complex melodies and intricate guitar work, Munroe’s music draws you into both her world and your own, whilst including much darker rock influenced elements

ocean1212w
This is a solo project by a dedicated Partisan member. A multi-genred guitarist and producer. Self-proclaimed queer icon. Expect doomy folk.

The Darling Invasion
Exciting solo project from a Partisan regular. New album out soon!

Community Fair

The day will open with our very own community fair, to shine the spotlight on some of our dedicated work as a community space for our incredible local social justice organisations who have their home at Partisan.

More info TBA…

The community fair will end in a shared POTLUCK meal together – we all bring some food (vegan, allergens-labelled) – that could be a dish, cake, snacks (drinks available as usual at the bar) and sit together to break bread and indulge in our homemade banquet.

PIZZA OVEN from Basilico – Authentic Italian pizza oven outside! Delicious Italian ingredients, as organic and plastic-free and sustainable as possible – cheap as can be to break even with any profits to Partisan, courtesy of our wonderful member Alberto. 10″ pizzas.
