How to Find Us

Our club space is located inside the Islington Mill and our Community (office) space is located across the courtyard in the New Islington Mill off Oldfield Road. Event and activity organisers should specify which space they are using on the calendar, but if you are not sure please email info@partisancollective.net and we can let you know.

Directions to Club Space in Islington Mill

The address for entry is: Islington Mill, 1 James Street, Salford M3 5HW. However, we require all patrons  to exit to the back of the Mill onto the Regents Trading Estate, which is across the courtyard. Taxis and hire cars may pick up here with the address being Unit 3 New Islington Mill Regents Trading Estate M5 4DE

At present, the front door is locked. This should be monitored by security if there is an event on, but if you arrive and it is locked please contact the person arranging the activity.

There are bike racks outside that can be easily accessed.

There is also some limited free parking outside the Mill, or you can park for 2 hours before 7pm on neighbouring streets. Please check signage before leaving your car! Do not park in the Regents Trading Estate.

If the bus is more your thing then you can get either the 50, 34, 36, 37 or 38 buses from Piccadilly Gardens and get off at the Salford Cathedral on Chapel Street.

We are a 5 minute walk from Salford Central Train Station.

If the bus is more your thing then you can get either the 34, 36, 37 or 38 buses from Piccadilly Gardens and get off at the Salford Cathedral on Chapel Street.

We are a 5 minute walk from Salford Central Train Station.

Accessibility

Partisan has an accessible toilet and an access ramp at our James Street entrance for wheelchair users. Assistance dogs are allowed at all times. Other well-behaved dogs are usually welcome, with the exception of performance rooms at loud music events. If you have a dog allergy/phobia let us know – we’ll do what we can. Our Community space also has step free entry off the Regent Trading Estate, but it requires a fob for entry, so please contact us in advance.

Partisan aims to be a safer space. As such, harmful and discriminatory behaviour is not tolerated. As a cooperative, Partisan is democratically owned by its members and is shaped by everybody through what we say and what we do. If you are challenged or feel threatened, speak to a member of staff or one of our volunteers, they are there to help.

If you do have any particular access needs then please get in touch in advance of visiting our space so we have time to make whatever preparations we can to make your visit as comfortable as possible.

Health and Safety

Partisan has uneven flooring in the events space, so please consider appropriate footwear and take care when dancing. There are also cobblestones on the way to the smoking area and around the door to our community space.

Please also be mindful, respectful, and quiet for our neighbours and friends living in the area at night.

COVID-19 Safety

All users of our space are encouraged to take a lateral flow test before arrival.

Our community space has small windows and large doors for air flow, but our larger events/club area is not as well ventilated.

Due to the small size of our space, it isn’t possible to observe social distancing for every event.

We hope to see you soon!
