Board Members & Event Staff

Our board is the main group of staff and volunteers who run Partisan. It is responsible for managing Partisan’s finances, supporting staff, governance and making sure Partisan keeps to its mission!

Staff

Autumn (She / Her) – Community and Membership Coordinator

I am originally from Eugene, Oregon and I am a Siletz tribal member. I have been living in the UK for 11 years after a 5-year stint in Japan. I volunteer at a charity shop when I am not DJing at The Peer Hat or appearing on BBC Radio Manchester. I have an 11-year-old son and we both have a love and fascination for music and mushroom identification and cultivation. I am really excited to be part of the Partisan team, and that is an understatement!

I’ve been part of the board since early 2022 and love being part of Partisan as I learn something new all the time, have met a lot of great like-minded people, and our club nights are some of the best in Manchester. I’m passionate about DIY spaces, having focused on the value of DIY scenes in many parts of my academic life. In my day job, I’m a university administrator, and in my spare time I love doing anything to do with music like DJing (I’m a resident at Love Muscle in Leeds) and going to gigs, as well as reading, cooking, and crocheting silly hats (a new hobby I’ve picked up through Wooly Club!)

Stanley (He / They)

Hi! I am a Malaysian queer dj and promoter based in Manchester, where I discovered and fell in love with electronic music. I support the running of events and bookings at Partisan, with a special interest in community-focused queer events. I also run ROJAK, a queer party celebrating and platforming LGBTQI+ people of colour. When I’m not two-stepping on the dancefloor or running around doing Partisan bits, I can usually be found sharing food with my favourite people. Hope to see you around soon!

Jay (She / Her)

Hey! I’m from originally from North Yorkshire but I am now a long term resident of Manchester and have been involved with Partisan for three years. I help facilitating event bookings for the space and I am part of the events team. Originally I helped start the DJ club working group at Partisan, I am passionate about creating a space for people to come and learn skills together and share music and art in a way that is accessible for all. More recently DJ club members have started the event series, ‘Club Partisan’ of which I am a resident. When I am not at Partisan you can find me DJing around Manchester and working as a freelance Film & TV production buyer.
