New friends and old, you are all invited to the BIG PARTISAN SOCIAL! 🎊 ❤️️🧡💛💚💙💜

A wonderful evening for us all to spend together, and get to know each other better, over shared food, drinks (hard and soft) and entertainment, whether you’re an old member of the Partisan community or someone who’s not even a member yet but interested in finding out more 🙋 🍷 🥗 🏓

*INTRODUCTION TO PARTISAN*
The event will start at 7.15pm with an introductory talk and Q&A about Partisan for any people who are new to us 🙂 💞

*SPEEDFRIENDING*
After the introduction, at 7.45pm ish we’ll be doing speedfriending for all those who want to take part – like speed-dating but for friends rather than romance, so that we get a chance to have a little chat with everyone before the main bit of the social 🐳 🐥 🐒 🐢

*POTLUCK – BRING & SHARE FOOD*
From 8pm ish after speedfriending, we’re running another extra special Partisan potluck! 🍝 🍜 🍱 🥘 🍛 🍩 🍰 🍍

We all bring some food (vegan, allergens-labelled) – that could be a dish, cake, snacks (drinks available as usual at the bar) and sit together to break bread and indulge in our homemade banquet. Feel free to bring along snacks from the shop too! We’ve got drinks at the bar, and can provide the plates and cutlery – but we’ll need a hand with the washing up! 🍻 🍸 🍉 🍇

*DJs & GAMES*
From 8pm onwards, we’ll have plenty of sofas and soft seating, appropriate music (in style and volume) for a social from the Partisan All Stars DJs, plus table tennis, video games, table football, board games, *and* party games! There is even talk of karaoke taking place upstairs. As the evening goes on, expect the music to slowly progress towards dancing territory… 🛋 🍺🕹 🎲 🎶 💃

FREE ENTRY – donations welcome on the door if you don’t bring potluck 🙂

PARTISAN ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Regrettably, Partisan is not yet wheelchair accessible. However, we are working closely with the council and our architect to make this Grade 2 Listed building accessible to all. Partisan is located across 2 floors of a 3-storey building. The basement has 11 steps from street level, without a handrail. The first floor has 22 steps from street level, with a handrail. There are 40 steps between the two floors. All toilets are gender-neutral and are located on both levels of the venue. On the first floor, these are single contained stalls. In the basement, there are stalls and urinals.

Seating is available on each floor at all events. For performances, a seated viewing area will be available.

Assistance dogs are allowed at all times. Other well behaved dogs are usually welcome, with the exception of in performance rooms of loud music events. If you have a dog allergy/phobia let us know – we’ll do what we can.

For ticketed events, paying disabled people are eligible to a free additional ticket for a PA to accompany them.

Partisan aims to be a safer space. As such, harmful and discriminatory behaviour is not tolerated. As a cooperative, Partisan is democratically owned by its members, and is shaped by everybody through what we say and what we do. If you are challenged or feel threatened, speak to someone wearing a Partisan badge; they are there to help.

A quiet room is available on the first floor at this event for those wanting to take a break for a while.
