Partisan’s Club space is located inside the Islington Mill on James Street (M3 5HW). Our Community Space is located across the courtyard on the ground floor of New Islington Mill, which can also be accessed from the Regent Trading Estate off Oldfield Road (M5 4DE).

What does it mean to craft as a butch?
Butches are often associated with labour, but we also pour our care into art. Join artist and butch twink Caitlin Rimmer for a series of 5 weekly skillshares about butch crafts, butch feelings and butch confidence. Each week we will learn and share a different craft together, with guided reflections and group conversations. If a butch does it, it’s a butchcraft: whether it be lino printing or leather care, creative writing or cross stitch. Butch representation by butches is few and far between, but echoes deep when we catch it. Let’s share some art that helps us see ourselves and each other.
This is for butches of all stripes. You don’t have to be good at crafts, you don’t have to have a skill you can share and you definitely don’t have to be “butch enough.” If you’re interested enough to question whether you should be here, you should be here.
Materials and refreshments will be provided for each session. Spaces are limited and priority will be given to those who can make the majority of our sessions. Registration opens for the sessions September 15th.
