Partisan’s Club space is located inside the Islington Mill on James Street (M3 5HW). Our Community Space is located across the courtyard on the ground floor of New Islington Mill, which can also be accessed from the Regent Trading Estate off Oldfield Road (M5 4DE).

Free Visuals Workshop: Slide Projection and Live Visuals

Join us for a skill share workshop in old school visual projection and live digital visual software at Partisan Collective.
As of 2018, Partisan is the home of all the visuals equipment that survived Manchester’s Hacienda nightclub. Donated by the club’s in house projectionist Jon Savage, this equipment has added a colourful element to Partisan’s in house parties for the past year. In this workshop, Rosa will show you how to create your own projections using this equipment.
Izzy Bolt is an audiovisual artist who has performed live visuals for Jon K, Floating Points, Test Card, Jade Parker and Kelly Jane Jones. She also curates events and runs projects as part of VAM. Her work is guided by a background in anthropology and incorporates electronic music with digital art. Her current solo project uses sculpture, moving image and soundscape to explore dystopian imagery, technology, pollutive diseases and natural systems. Izzy uses software to bring another element to surfaces and surroundings while moving through these themes.
In this workshop, Izzy will give an introduction to live visual creation software VDMX, which is free to download.
