Partisan’s Club space is located inside the Islington Mill on James Street (M3 5HW). Our Community Space is located across the courtyard on the ground floor of New Islington Mill, which can also be accessed from the Regent Trading Estate off Oldfield Road (M5 4DE).

Join us for an evening to mark history, make futures and bend the present.
2018 will mark thirty years since legislation was passed that prohibited the ‘promotion’ of homosexuality in schools and other state funded organisations in the UK. What came to be known as Section 28 had a devastating impact on the lives of queers of all ages. Following collective and ongoing lobbying and activism, including numerous marches, demonstrations and direct actions it was repealed in 2001 in Scotland and 2003 in England and Wales. It stands to be remembered as a moment in our shared history, where those affected banded together to resist their violent oppression in order to be recognised.

Good Afternoon
An LGBT+ friendly ramshackle disco. Been dropping Donna Summer records in old boozers since 08. We’ve partied in car parks, on boats, on roof terraces and some right good old boozers. We sometimes have bands, sometimes have jumble sales, sometimes have BBQs but pretty much always have disco by 6pm.
£5 suggested donation, no one turned away for lack of funds. All profits going to The Proud Trust.
A portion of funds raised on the door will be set aside to provide safe transport home for trans-feminine folx of colour. If you require a taxi home from this event, please contact them ahead of schedule on Facebook so we can arrange this.
