Guided movement and meditation are such great tools for relaxation and connecting with our bodies and internal experiences. Everyone should be given access to these tools and reap the many benefits they can bring.
Classes are beginner friendly (honestly). Your practice should challenge you but also meet you where you are…so no pretzel/knot shapes or pain to get into awkward poses.
In each session we pay attention to the patterns and quality of the breath and combine this with mindful movement. Many of the sequences take inspiration from yoga asana, somatic movement and elements of Qi Gong to create a mixed style of relaxation and movement that prioritises comfort.
Props are generally used as standard and there is always a modification for every posture.
( Please note: I am focussed on trying to make my classes inclusive and accessible but am still in the very early stages of doing this so please get in touch if you have any requirements and hopefully I can accommodate or signpost you to somewhere that might be a better fit.)
I found my way into yoga and somatic movement after going to classes at the gym with my mum as a teenager.
I have been teaching informally since I started my 200hr Yoga teacher training with Yogacampus in 2018 which I have since completed.
I am first aid trained and currently in the process of completing my CPD training with Susi Wrenshaw on Trauma Informed Yoga. If you would like to know more please see my website https://release-relax.co.uk or email firstname.lastname@example.org
